Lampworking Workshop at SONG Art & Craft offers an immersive experience where you’ll shape vibrant glass using a flame.

Price:

2 hours glass candle holder workshop: £120 (Including VAT)

3 hours glass candle holder workshop:£180 (Including VAT)

Please note: This class includes around 20–25 minutes of guided tutorial time. Our instructor will demonstrate the process and assist you with attaching the glass petals onto your candle holder.

After the class, you will not be able to take your candle holder home on the same day, as it needs to be placed in the kiln for annealing. Your finished candle holder will usually be ready for collection within 5–7 days after the class.

You are welcome to collect it from our studio, or we can arrange postage for you. Please note that postage fees are not included and will need to be covered separately.

Safety Notice

This workshop involves hot glass, tools, heated equipment, and open flames.

Please wear closed-toe shoes and long trousers. Long hair must be tied back securely. Natural fibre clothing such as cotton, linen, or wool is recommended. Please avoid loose sleeves, dangling jewellery, and synthetic fabrics where possible.

Guests must be at least 12 years old. Guests under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

This workshop is not suitable for pregnant guests.

We do not recommend bringing pets to the studio, as the workshop environment is not suitable for small animals.

Our Glass Candle Holder Workshop is specially designed for beginners and seasoned creators alike. Immersive yourself in making an exquisite piece of artwork and great addition to your home decor. We use clear glass candle holder templates as a starting ground, and will offer various techniques to shape it into something unique to you. A true mixture of craftsmanship and functionality.

Guided Instruction: We’re with you throughout the experience, starting with a demonstration and remaining nearby to help with any questions. Sometimes, multiple instructors are available to provide extra support when needed.

Materials: We offer unlimited use of imported and some high-quality local materials—feel free to use as much as you need.

Equipment and Tools: We provide a full range of equipment, including gas, safety glasses, and a variety of torch types to suit different techniques.

Packaging: After creating your pieces, we’ll package them beautifully. You can select from thousands of yarns to tie your custom bow, adding a unique, personalized to your finished product.

Workshop Policy – Complimentary Repair Service

If your finished piece sustains damage due to non-human factors, we offer a one-time free repair service.
