Lampworking Workshop at SONG Art & Craft offers an immersive experience where you’ll shape vibrant glass using a flame. Discover the art of crafting intricate designs, guided by experts, in a welcoming studio setting. Perfect for beginners and seasoned creators alike.
Intermediate Workshop:
Our Intermediate Workshops are open to participants who already have experience with glass lampworking.
If you would like to request a specific demonstration or an instructed session, please contact us via email in advance to discuss and confirm the feasibility of your project.
Price:
2 hours workshop: £96 (including VAT)
3 hours workshop: £144(including VAT)
4 hours workshop: £192 (including VAT)
5 hours workshop: £240 (including VAT)
Please note that the workshop duration includes a 20–25 minute tutorial and safety briefing at the beginning of the session. This introduction is part of the total workshop time.
Safety Notice
This workshop involves hot glass, tools, heated equipment, and open flames.
Please wear closed-toe shoes and long trousers. Long hair must be tied back securely. Natural fibre clothing such as cotton, linen, or wool is recommended. Please avoid loose sleeves, dangling jewellery, and synthetic fabrics where possible.
Guests must be at least 12 years old. Guests under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
This workshop is not suitable for pregnant guests.
We do not recommend bringing pets to the studio, as the workshop environment is not suitable for small animals.

Guided Instruction: We’re with you throughout the experience, starting with a demonstration and remaining nearby to help with any questions. Sometimes, multiple instructors are available to provide extra support when needed.
Materials: We offer unlimited use of imported and some high-quality local materials—feel free to use as much as you need.
Equipment and Tools: We provide a full range of equipment, including gas, safety glasses, and a variety of torch types to suit different techniques.
Packaging: After creating your pieces, we’ll package them beautifully. You can select from thousands of yarns to tie your custom bow, adding a unique, personalized to your finished product.
Workshop Policy – Complimentary Repair Service
If your finished piece sustains damage due to non-human factors, we offer a one-time free repair service.

Craft a small flower set in just 1+ hours, creating 1–3 unique pieces. Choose from hundreds of colours to design vibrant, personalised flowers perfect for decoration or gifting.

Medium flower set / 2–5 finished pieces (2+ hours)
Creating a medium flower set takes over 2 hours, with beginners typically crafting 2–5 pieces. While the process is similar to the small flower set, the larger size and more intricate layered design require additional time to achieve the desired result.

Lily of the Valley (4+ hours)
Creating lily of the valley pieces is easy to learn. Although it takes relatively more time, beginners can achieve a highly rewarding final product through gradual and repetitive practice.

Ring (2+ hours)
Creating glass rings is simple; even beginners can craft 2-3 exquisite pieces within 2 hours. The ring shapes are not limited, and participants can create rings with their unique style after mastering the basic techniques.

Christmas Tree (2+ hours)
Creating a Christmas tree is simple; even beginners can craft a unique piece in about 2-4 hours. Participants can flexibly use hundreds of colours in the studio to create a vibrant and colourful tree, offering a fresh take on the traditional design. In addition to ornaments like butterflies, candles, stars, and ribbons, many other decorations can be created to personalise the tree further.
